OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Three consecutive birdies early in her round was the key for Oregon Tech senior Payton Canon, who carded a 1-over-par 73, good enough to make the cut at the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships at Lincoln Park West Golf Course.
Canon sits in a 4-way tie for 23rd-place following 36 holes at 3-over-par (74-73 - 145) - well inside the cut line of the Top-40 individuals at 6-over-par.
She will close out her tournament tomorrow starting on the back nine, with a tee-time set for 7:57 a.m. (PDT)
