CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon Tech claimed the 2021-22 Cascade Collegiate Conference All-Sport title, the conference announced Friday. The Owls slightly edged out the College of Idaho for their second-straight and second overall title.
Oregon Tech earned first-place points with regular-season championships in women’s soccer and softball, while also splitting points as co-champions in men’s soccer with Warner Pacific University. OIT racked up key points with second-place finishes in men’s basketball, men’s golf, and women’s golf, helping the Owls tally 198.6 points.
The College of Idaho, with 198.2 points, were the runners-up for the second year in a row on the strength of first-place points in men’s basketball, men’s cross country and women’s cross country. The Yotes also earned second-place points in men’s track/field.
Southern Oregon University, Lewis-Clark State College and Eastern Oregon University round out the top five with 193.7, 186.5 and 182.06 points, respectively. SOU earned second-place points in women’s soccer, women’s cross country, women’s basketball and women’s wrestling, while LC State stood atop the women’s basketball and baseball podium. EOU earned first-place points in men’s wrestling and men’s track/field.
