CORVALLIS, Ore. – After reclaiming the crown last season, UBC was picked as the 2022-23 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Golf preseason favorite once again, announced Monday by the conference office.
The Thunderbirds grabbed eight first-place votes to sit atop the CCC Preseason Poll with 71 points after winning the 2022 CCC Men’s Golf Championship, presented by U.S. Bank, by four strokes. UBC went on to take eighth at the NAIA National Championship.
Lewis-Clark State College follows in second after taking second place at the conference championship. Oregon Tech picked up one first-place vote and 61 points to sit in third on the poll. Bushnell University and the College of Idaho round out the top five in fourth and fifth, respectively.
Multnomah University was picked sixth with 35 points, followed closely by Southern Oregon University and Corban University, separated by one point. Walla Walla University closes out the poll in the ninth spot with 20 points.
The CCC championship is slated for April 24-26, hosted by Bushnell.
