CORVALLIS, Ore. – The first conference event of the new season tees off Monday as the College of Idaho hosts The College of Idaho Invitational at TimberStone Golf Course in Caldwell, Idaho.

The two-day event starts Monday morning and is one of three conference tournaments leading up to the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship, presented by U.S. Bank, April 24-26. The first day consists of a 36-hole round, followed by 18 rounds on Tuesday.

Two CCC teams currently rank in the NAIA after the 2022-23 NAIA Men’s Golf Preseason Coaches’ Top 25 Poll was released. UBC leads the duo with a No. 8 ranking, while Lewis-Clark State College follows not far behind at No. 15.

UBC makes it season debut after reclaiming the CCC title last year and finishing eighth at nationals. The Yotes and Walla Walla University are also competing in their first events of the year.

LC State comes off its first win of the year, securing the Coastal Collegiate Classic title last week by 45 strokes. LC State’s Devon Caruso and Bushnell University’s Cade Stubbs shared medalist honors, each posting a 220 after the three rounds.

Oregon Tech followed the Warriors in second place, while Bushnell and Multnomah tied for third. Southern Oregon University followed in fifth and Corban University rounded out the teams in sixth place.

In a tournament, five players compose the team but only the top four scores are used for the team score in each round. Live scoring will be available HERE.
