CALDWELL, Idaho - The University of British Columbia men's golf team shot a 54-hole total of 868 to secure the College of Idaho Invitational Team by 17 strokes over NCAA Division II Northwest Nazarene University and the other Cascade Collegiate Conference teams.
The Thunderbirds were able to land three golfers in the top 10 including Mackenzie Bickell (2nd, -2, 214 - 75-71-68); Hudson Lafayette (4th, even, 216 - 71-70-75) and Dylan Macdonald (7th, +4, 220 - 76-73-71). Bickell was two strokes away from the individual title that was claimed by Grayson Giboney of Northwest Nazarene University.
The rest of the CCC saw Lewis-Clark State finish third (886 - 294-293-299); College of Idaho was fourth (896 - 302-304-290); Bushnell was fifth (897 - 298-300-299); Multnomah was sixth (908 - 306-303-299); Oregon Tech was seventh (913 - 306-303-304), Southern Oregon was eighth (934 - 319-309-306); Walla Walla was ninth (950 - 318-317-315) and Corban was 10th (965 - 323-326-316). For Southern Oregon, it was their first collegiate golf tournament.
