CORVALLIS, Ore. – The 2022 Cascade Collegiate Conference men’s soccer season officially kicks off Friday.
Twelve teams open the season, playing six games to get the season rolling as 14 teams will battle for the regular-season championship and the CCC’s first automatic qualifier (AQ) to the NAIA National Tournament. The second AQ will be awarded to whoever wins the CCC Men’s Soccer Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank., starting Nov. 7.
Two teams shared the preseason favorite title as Warner Pacific University and Southern Oregon University tied for first place on the preseason poll.
Corban University enters the conference season ranked No. 25, while WPU and SOU are currently receiving votes on the poll.

Bushnell University (2-2-1) came out of the non-conference season with a .500 record for the first time since 2016 and the Beacons look to carry that momentum into the conference slate. Walla Walla University (0-2-0) looks to snap a two-game losing streak to open the season.

Northwest University (2-2-1) is at home for the first time this year as it opens the conference season. Southern Oregon University (3-2-0), which is receiving votes in the latest coaches’ poll, comes off a 1-0 win over Menlo College and holds a five-game winning streak over the Eagles.

Oregon Tech (1-0-2) enters the conference slate with an undefeated record, pushing the program-best unbeaten streak to 17-straight games. The Evergreen State College (1-2) picked up its first win of the season with a 2-1 victory over NCAA Division III Pacific. The Geoducks hold an 11-6-3 all-time series lead over the Owls, but OIT has won the last three meetings.

Multnomah University (3-1-1) is on its best start to the season heading into CCC play. Eastern Oregon University (3-1-1) comes of a scoreless draw to end non-conference action. The Mounties hold a firm hold on the all-time series with a 9-0 record against the Lions.

The College of Idaho (2-1-1) enters the CCC season with a string of three unbeaten games in tow. WPU is one of two CCC teams entering conference action with a perfect record in tow, boasting a 5-0 overall mark.

No. 25-ranked Corban University also boasts a perfect 5-0 record heading into conference play and has out-scored its opponents 21-0 on the year. Carroll College (1-1-1) comes off a 2-2 tie at Whitworth University to end non-conference action.
