KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Corban University’s Makida Herbert was named the NAIA National Women’s Soccer Defender of the Week, announced Tuesday by the national office.
Herbert, a junior goalkeeper from Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, led the Warriors to back-to-back shutout draws against No. 21-ranked Eastern Oregon University and (RV) College of Idaho, which are her fourth and fifth shutouts this season. Her five shutouts now tie her for fifth in the CCC, while she also sits third in save percentage (.870) by adding 12 saves with zero goals allowed this weekend.
