Top-Ranked UBC Holds Big Lead After Day 1 of Multnomah Invite

CARSON, Wash. – Top-ranked UBC holds a significant lead after the first day of the Multnomah Invitational at the Elk Ridge Golf Course after placing four Thunderbirds in the top-four spots.

The T-birds opened the tournament with a 284, sitting 30 strokes in front of Lewis-Clark State College (314) in second place. No. 23-ranked Oregon Tech (321) sits in third and Walla Walla University (357) rounds out the teams in fourth. 

Sonja Tang leads the individual leaderboard after shooting a two-under par 69. Fellow T-birds Elizabeth Labbe and Grace Bell are tied for second after posting 71s, while Bo Brown sits in fourht after carding a 73. Corban University's Kelly Dunn and UBC's Una Chou round out the top-five after each finished with a 74. 

The two-round tournament continues Tuesday.
