College of Idaho Women's Cross Country Wins Second Meet of Season

Monmouth, Ore. – The College of Idaho women's cross country picked up its second meet victory of the season with a perfect score, winning the Mike Johnson Classic hosted by Western Oregon University. The Yotes took home the top five spots, including an individual win by Sage Martin, who covered the 6k course in a time of 21:35.6 to edge teammate Ellyse Tingelstad by 3.6 seconds.
 
38 seconds separated the one thru five pack for College of Idaho, who won the team race over NCAA Division II Western Oregon and NCAA Division III foes, Pacific, Lewis & Clark and George Fox.

For the rest of the College of Idaho lineup, Tingelstad was second in 21:39.2, followed by Abbey Shirts in third (21:48.2), Kahea Figueira in fourth (22:10.3) and Makena Houston in fifth (22:13.5).
