CCC 2023-24 Men’s Wrestling Preseason Poll

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Menlo College was chosen to defend its crown as the Cascade Collegiate Conference released the 2023-24 Men’s Wrestling Preseason Poll on Thursday.
 
Menlo picked up eight first-place votes and 116 total points to land atop the coaches’ poll. Last season they won the 2023 CCC Men’s Wrestling Championship, presented by U.S. Bank. The Oaks had two individual National Champions and two All-Americans as they finished in 4th place at the 2023 NAIA championship.
 
Southern Oregon University claimed one first-place vote and 97 total points to sit second in the poll. The Raiders earned runner-up status at the CCC tournament and tied for 25th at the national championship with one All-American honoree.
 
Providence University followed close behind with 93 total points and one first-place vote of its own for a third-place ranking. The Argos finished fourth at the conference tournament and had an incredible run at nationals, earning a 10th-place finish with three All-Americans.
 
Just one point separated the next team as Montana State University-Northern came in fourth with 92 total points. The Lights came in sixth at the CCC tournament and tied for 15th with two All-Americans at the NAIA championship.
 
Eastern Oregon University secured the fifth spot with 84 total points. The Mounties were third at the conference tournament and 12th at the national championship with two All-Americans.
 
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (63 points), Corban University (50 points), Vanguard University (49 points), and Arizona Christian University (36 points) filled in the sixth through ninth spots in the poll, respectively.
 
The Evergreen State College’s new program received one first-place vote and 31 points to land in the 10th spot. Simpson University found itself rounding out the coaches’ poll in 11th place with 15 points.
 
The 2024 CCC Men’s Wrestling Championship is set for Feb. 16-17, hosted by EOU in La Grande, Oregon. Automatic berths to the NAIA national championship are awarded to the top finishers in each weight class. Additional qualifier allocations will be released by the national office succeeding all NAIA conference tournaments. The 2024 NAIA Men’s Wrestling Championship will take place on Feb. 29 - March 2 in Park City, Kansas.
