CORVALLIS, Ore. – In the latest episode of the CCC Podcast:
Cascade Connects, Commissioner Rob Cashell talks with 2022-23 NAIA SID of the Year, Alisha Alexander.
Alexander is a Southern California native who graduated from Concordia University, Irvine in December of 2016 and became a graduate assistant in Sports Information for the Eagles. She obtained her Master’s degree in Coaching and Athletics Administration from Concordia in November of 2018.
While leading the coverage of all 13 teams for the Warriors, Alexander has led the communications charge when LC State hosted Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament basketball games, the NAIA Women's Basketball First and Second Round, NAIA Baseball Opening Round and serves as the media director for the Avista NAIA World Series.
Earlier this year, Alexander was named the Cascade Conference SID of the Year for the second time in her sixth year at LC State. She was also elected to the NAIA-SIDA executive board in 2022 and was voted the Second Vice President in 2023. In September, she was named the NAIA SID of the Year, becoming the first female to ever receive the honor.
