KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2023 Daktronics NAIA Women’s Cross Country Scholar-Athletes on Thursday.
The Cascade Collegiate Conference saw 39 total honorees. College of Idaho led the way with 10 total. Lewis-Clark State College followed with seven student-athletes. Corban University had five while Southern Oregon University grabbed four. Bushnell University, Northwest University, and Oregon Tech all received three. Eastern Oregon University and Multnomah University rounded out the CCC recipients with two each.
The 2023 list features 626 student-athletes that achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
