College of Idaho Men’s Cross Country Leads CCC at the 2023 NAIA Championships

VANCOUVER, Wash. – [Final Results] Yotes men take home sixth place as a team to top the Cascade Collegiate Conference at the 2023 NAIA Men’s Cross Country Championship. Their placement, along with the Women’s National Title, led to a fourth place combined team score.

College of Idaho finished with 280 points, topping the CCC Champions of Eastern Oregon University by three points. EOU recorded 283 points to land in seventh place. Lewis-Clark State College followed with 419 points for a 17th team finish. Corban University (509 points) was next at 22nd. Host school, Multnomah University managed 1017 points to complete the race in 34th place.

The CCC Individual Champion, Robert Swoboda, led the conference again with a fourth place finish at Nationals. The graduate student from Ukiah, Calif., completed the 8K course in a time of 24:50.3 to end his incredible collegiate career.

Daniel Butler (25:09.0) of College of Idaho was the next closest conference competitor in 11th. Teammate Hayden Bostrom (25:16.6) came behind at 18th. Justin Ash (25:20.7) of Eastern Oregon led the Mounties in 20th. Lewis-Clark State’s Kobe Wessels (25:25.5) topped the Warriors with a 24th place finish to round out the CCC NAIA All-Americans.
