KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2023 Daktronics NAIA Women’s Soccer Scholar-Athletes on Friday.
The Cascade Collegiate Conference saw 88 total honorees. Eastern Oregon University led the way with 12 student-athletes. Carroll College and Oregon Tech followed right behind with 11 and 10 total, respectively. Northwest University had nine while College of Idaho had eight. Bushnell University, University of Providence, and Southern Oregon University all recorded seven. Multnomah University and Rocky Mountain College both got six recipients while Corban University rounded out the CCC honorees with five total.
The 2023 list features 1,443 student-athletes who achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
