CALDWELL, Idaho – A typical outstanding race led the No. 1-ranked women's cross country team in the NAIA, College of Idaho, to earn another Cascade Collegiate Conference title at the CCC Championships, presented by U.S. Bank.

The Yotes claimed their fifth consecutive championship victory, and 10th all-time, in their hometown on Friday. For the third straight year, Ellyse Tingelstad defended her individual championship at Fairview Golf Course, finishing the 6K course in 20 minutes 51.5 seconds. Teammate Sage Martin (21:06.4) was also her runner-up for the third consecutive season while C of I's Abbey Shirts (21:16.4) and Kahea Figeuira (21:48.3) joined them as repeat All-CCC performers while occupying the third and fifth spots on the leaderboard, respectfully.

The Yotes amassed just 18 points and added three more All-CCC runners with Molly Connor (22:20.4) in seventh-place, Charlie Duff (22:27.7) in 10th by .04 seconds, and Julia Gilbert (22:35.9) in 13th. In his second year, head coach Dominic Bolin was voted the CCC Women's Coach of the Year for the second-straight year.

Alauna Carstens had an incredible race for The Evergreen State's new program. In a fourth-place finish with a time of 21 minutes and 33.1 seconds, the sophomore has begun to leave her mark in the highly competitive Cascade Conference.

No. 7-ranked Southern Oregon University secured second place, tallying 60 points, and were led by sixth-place Lauren Forster (22:17.5) and eighth-place Alejandra Lopez (22:24.5) for the second straight year. 12th-place Cammeo Ramirez (22:28.3) and 14th-place Alyssa Johnson (22:38.2) also captured All-CCC status for SOU.

No. 19-ranked Lewis-Clark State College got a ninth-place finish from Brooklyn Shell (22:27.6) who bested her next two opponents by just .1 second, including teammate Geraldin Correa (22:27.7) who completed the race in 11th place. LC State also had two runners in 16th and 17th, just narrowly missing all conference honors but helping the Warriors finish in third.

Kaylea Hartman (22:40.0) led Northwest University and rounded out the all-conference honorees in 15th-place.

College of Idaho earned an automatic berth in the NAIA Championships, which the CCC is hosting in Vancouver Wash., on Nov. 17. The rest of the field, including at-large bids, will be announced next week.
