CCC Sweeps 2023 AVCA Northwest All-Region Honors

LEXINGTON, KY – As expected after another dominant Volleyball season, the Cascade Collegiate Conference swept the 2023 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) NAIA All-Region teams and awards.
 
The AVCA announced the women's volleyball All-Region teams for NAIA women's volleyball, as chosen by the NAIA Selection Committee. Each of the 10 regions named 14 student-athletes to the All-Region team, and eight players earned honorable mention honors. Each region also selected four "of the year" award winners.
 
The CCC had a total of 12 student-athletes recognized. Southern Oregon University led the conference with three members on the All-Region team: Sadie Byrd, Marin Mackey, and Hannah Stadstad. Eastern Oregon University had two: Mylie Mills and Sade Williams. Bushnell University's Halle Neumann, College of Idaho's Jade Warren, and Corban University's Rylee Troutman all made the first team as well.
 
Corban's Abby Guindy, Eastern Oregon's Madison Morgan, Lewis-Clark State College's Juliauna Forgach Aguilar, and Northwest University's Kelsey Moore all received honorable mentions.
 
For the second straight time, Corban's Rylee Troutman was named the Player of the Year and Eastern Oregon's head coach Kaki Morehead was named the Coach of the Year of the Northwest Region. EOU's Mylie Mills earned the Northwest Region Freshman of the Year to round out the special awards.
