CORVALLIS, Ore. – After taking two non-conference road wins this weekend, the Multnomah Lions Men’s Basketball team was named the Under Armour Team of the Week for Dec. 4 – 10, the CCC announced Sunday.
Multnomah’s (6-3, 1-2 CCC) season has just begun and the team is prepared to play. On Thursday, the Lions had a big 76-65 upset over No. 5-ranked Arizona Cristian University. The team never trailed and got up to an 18-point advantage in the first eight minutes of the game. Multnomah held ACU to a 33-field goal and three-point percentage. Multnomah also recorded 42 rebounds, 34 bench points, eight blocks and six steals in the victory. The Lions were led by game-highs of 26 points from Miles Macadory and 10 rebounds from Neyland Block.
The next day, the Lions were just as hot with a 92-90 defeat over 2023 NAIA Semifinalist, Ottawa University Arizona. The team reached a 47.9 shooting percentage while 34 points were in the paint. Even with being outrebounded (37-45), Multnomah collected 21 points from second chances. The Lions were led by Kadeem Nelson’s game-high 24 points while James Sanders also added 10 rebounds.
Next weekend, the Multnomah Lions men’s basketball team resumes CCC play Dec. 15-16, hosting No. 2-ranked College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon University.
