CLEVELAND – The final LEARFIELD Directors' Cup fall standings for NAIA have College of Idaho leading eight Cascade Collegiate Conference institutions in second place with 356.5 points.
With outstanding fall seasons, the Yotes earned points in every sport (men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, volleyball and football) by making National Championship appearances. Eastern Oregon University followed in eighth place with 199 points from men's and women's cross country and volleyball. Southern Oregon University was right behind with 184.5 points, remaining ranked at 13th with showings in women's cross country, men's soccer, and volleyball.
Lewis-Clark State College was the next Cascade Conference team in 30th, gathering 123 points from men's and women's cross country. Corban University landed ranked 34th, collecting 116 points in men's cross country and volleyball.
Multnomah (men's cross country) and Oregon Tech (women's cross country) tied at 102nd with 38 points. Northwest University rounded out the ranked CCC schools in 107th with 25 points from its women's soccer team.
The LEARFIELD Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NAIA Championships.
The winter standings will begin distribution on Thursday, March 28.
