OREGON CITY, Ore. – The RV Corban University Men's Wrestling team sent twelve wrestlers to the Clackamas Open today in Oregon City, where the Warriors saw two-thirds of their student-athletes earn podium placements, including a weight class champion in yet another spectacular showing for the program.

Of the podium placers for Corban, there was one sixth place finish, two in fifth place, two in fourth, a third placer, a runner-up, and one weight class champion. The third through sixth place finishers include sophomore Luke Jensen (3rd - 141), senior Matthew Bartlett (4th - 174) junior Tyson Stover (4th - 184), sophomore Blake Runion (5th - 133), freshman Gus Menne (5th - 149), and sophomore Brayden Boyd (6th - 125).
Senior Sven Lukner posted a major decision, a technical fall, and a decision on his way to the championship bout, where he fell to NCAA DII grappler Raphael Masella of Simon Fraser University in a major decision to take the runner-up spot in the 285-weight class.
The undefeated season for redshirt junior David Rubio continued throughout today's tourney, as he improved to 17-0 on the year with a technical fall, a pin, a major decision, and gutted out a 5-0 decision in the 157-weight class over NCAA DI Oregon State University's Christopher Hamblin.
The Warriors will return home for a tri-dual with fellow Cascade Collegiate Conference foes Arizona Christian University (3-2) and The Evergreen State College (0-2), which will begin at 5pm on Saturday, December 9th.
