CORVALLIS, Ore. – The seeds for the 2022-23 Cascade Collegiate Conference Women’s Basketball Championship Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, were finalized Saturday night.
After completing the regular season with identical 21-1 conference records, the Eastern Oregon University and Lewis-Clark State College women’s basketball team's seasons came to a coin flip. The official video is posted on the Cascade Collegiates Conferences media’s sites. Lewis-Clark State won the coin flip, allowing them the second seed while receiving an automatic national berth. Eastern Oregon is the number-one seed in the 2023 CCC women’s basketball tournament. As stated in the guidelines, if Lewis-Clark State College wins the tournament, the second automatic qualifier will go to the number one seed, Eastern Oregon, regardless of the runner-up.
Southern Oregon University finished the conference with an 18-4 record, sitting as the third seed. Oregon Tech will enter the tournament with the fourth seed, rounding out the host teams.
Bushnell University takes the fifth seed, College of Idaho followed in the sixth seed while Corban University grabbed the seven seed, and Evergreen State picked up the final spot at number eight.
