CCC Men's Basketball Quarterfinal Scoreboard

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The 2022-23 CCC Men’s Basketball Tournament, presented by U. S. Bank, tipped off Tuesday night with an overtime, an upset, and four teams remaining. 
 
The winner of the tournament will be awarded the Danny Miles Trophy, named after the Hall of Fame Oregon Tech Coach who won three national titles with the Hustlin' Owls.

#1 College of Idaho def. #8 Bushnell University, 87-70
The top-ranked College of Idaho men's basketball team opened the Cascade Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Tournament with an 87-70 victory, resulting in Bushnell University’s last game of the season. The Coyotes were led by Tyler Robinett with 17 points. Robinett would start the game hot, scoring seven of the team’s first 18 points. The Beacons were led on the offensive side of the ball by Spencer Hoffman, finishing with a game-high 20 points to lead all scorers, to go along with a double-double while tallying 13 rebounds. College of Idaho will host Corban University on Friday.

#2 Eastern Oregon University def. #7 Oregon Tech, 82-76
No. 2-seeded Eastern Oregon University pushed through in overtime for an 82-76 victory over a passionate group from Oregon Tech. Depth played into EOU's favor with a bench that outscored OIT's 37-11. Preston Chandler banked home a 3-pointer to start a 9-0 run in overtime while Phillip Malatare paced EOU with 26 points and nine rebounds. The Owls were led by Jamison Guerra and Joey Potts who each got 19 points. Eastern Oregon will host Southern Oregon on Friday.

#3 Southern Oregon University def. #6 Lewis-Clark State College, 77-75
No. 3-seeded Southern Oregon forced two turnovers while up by one possession in the final minute, hanging on for a 77-75 win over Lewis-Clark State in the quarterfinal round of the Cascade Conference Tournament. Dominic McGarvey and Tez Allen scored 16 points to lead an offense that shot 51 percent for the Raiders. Oreon Courtney led the Warriors with 21 points and eight rebounds. Southern Oregon will be on the road to face Eastern Oregon on Friday.

#5 Corban University def. #4 Warner Pacific University 73-63
No. 5-seeded Corban University walked away with the only upset on the night with a 73-63 victory over Warner Pacific University. The Warriors had four individuals in double digits, led by Taylor Anderson who got a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds. The Knights were led by Thomas Miles who ended his season with an impressive 28 points. Corban University will head to compete against the top-ranked College of Idaho on Friday.
