CORVALLIS, Ore. – The eight seeds of the 2022-23 Cascade Collegiate Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, were announced Saturday, and the action tips off Wednesday with the quarterfinals.

The CCC tournament takes place on Feb. 22, 25, and 28, with the quarterfinal round taking place at the top-four seeds’ home courts. For the next two rounds, the highest remaining seeds will host the lower seeds, with a trip to the NAIA National Tournament on the line.
This year, Eastern Oregon University got the first seed and Lewis-Clark State College won the second seed and the first automatic national qualification. Both teams ended the season at the top of the conference with identical records. Details of the tiebreaking can be found
here. As stated in the guidelines, if Lewis-Clark State wins the tournament, the second automatic qualifier will go to the number one seed, Eastern Oregon, regardless of the runner-up.

Eastern Oregon won the regular-season title with a 21-1 conference mark to pick up the No. 1 seed of the tournament. The Mountaineers, who are boasting a 16-game winning streak, host eighth-seeded Evergreen State, who survived with a 6-16 record. EOU swept the regular-season series between the two teams, grabbing a 97-54 home victory and then a road win just days ago.

Lewis-Clark State College grabbed the second seed after the tiebreakers were put into play, finishing with a 21-1 CCC mark, which tied Eastern Oregon University. The Warriors host Corban University, which picked up the seven-seed season with a 9-13 conference record. LCSC opened the season with a 71-59 victory, and then picked up another win with a score of 79-59.

Third seeded-Southern Oregon University hosts sixth-seeded College of Idaho in the quarterfinals. The Raiders went 18-4 in CCC play for the second season in a row. College of Idaho competed conference play 10-12. Southern Oregon swept the regular-season series winning 60-48 on Dec. 2 in Caldwell and 72-67 in overtime on Jan. 21 in Ashland.

Oregon Tech Faces Bushnell University in the quarterfinals for the second year in a row. But this time, after achieving the fourth seed and finishing the conference at 16-6, OIT will host. The Beacons ended the season with a 14-8 record. This will be the team's second time facing off in the last five days. OIT took both contests this season with scores of 71-64 and 60-55.
