Rize Laboratory Players of the Week Announced

CORVALLIS, Ore. The following five CCC student-athletes have been recognized as the Rize Laboratory Players of the Week for their performances during competition from Feb. 20–26 2023.

Women’s Wrestling – Wrestler
No. 3 Southern Oregon’s Emily Se was named the Rize Laboratory Women’s Wrestler of the Week.
 
Se, a 143-lb senior wrestler from Sacramento, Calif., is ranked No. 2 in the NAIA and has helped her team to an undefeated season with a 20-3 individual record. This weekend she came out with two victories to lead her team to the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship title. Her first defeat included a technical fall over No. 12-ranked Morgan Shines of Eastern Oregon. Se then recorded her 13th pin of the season over No. 6-ranked Liv Wieber of Eastern Oregon in the championship. Emily Se was also named the outstanding wrestler of the CCC tournament.
 
Baseball – Player
Lewis-Clark State College’s Dominic Signorelli was named the Rize Laboratory Baseball Player of the Week.
 
Signorelli, a sophomore infielder from Moses Lake, Wash., led LC State College in three games against the College of Idaho with a .600 batting average and seven RBIs. He slugged 1.300 with a double and two home runs while driving in the game-winning run in a walk-off win over the Coyotes. Signorelli drew five walks, got 13 bases, and scored five runs in three games.
 
Baseball – Pitcher
The University of British Columbia’s Ryan Heppner was named the Rize Laboratory Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
 
Heppner, a freshmen pitcher from Points Roberts, Wash., held back a strong Bushnell University offensive on Saturday. He went five innings and struck out eight batters. Heppner only allowed one walk and two earned runs to lead the T-Birds to victory.
 
Softball – Player
College of Idaho’s Haley Loffer was named the Rize Laboratory Softball Player of the Week.
 
Loffer, a senior infielder from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, hit .455 in the four-game series sweep of Carroll College with all five of her hits being for extra bases. She hit four home runs including a pair in the nightcap on Friday. Her first home run of the series made her the all-time leader in program history. Loffer also managed to steal three bases on her way to a .600 on-base percentage and a 1.636 slugging percentage and eight RBIs.
 
Softball – Pitcher
College of Idaho’s Katelyn Wilfert was named the Rize Laboratory Softball Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season.
 
Katelyn Wilfert, a graduate student pitcher from Meridian, Idaho had two dominant performances in the circle this weekend against Carroll College. She allowed just seven hits in 11 innings of work and struck out 10 en route to a 0.00 ERA. Wilfert walked one batter as the Coyotes extended its winning streak to 14 games with a four-game sweep of the Fighting Saints.
