Five CCC Student-Athletes Earn NAIA Women’s Basketball All-American Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2022-23 Women's Basketball All-America Teams on Tuesday.

Five student-athletes represented the Cascade Collegiate Conference on the list. Lewis-Clark State College’s Callie Stevens was named to the second team. Eastern Oregon University’s Beverly Slater was named to the third team and Sailor Liefke received an honorable mention. Oregon Tech’s Olivia Sprague and Southern Oregon University’s Kami Walk also gathered honorable mention distinctions.

Stevens, a junior guard from Puyallup, Wash., led the Warriors in field goals made (167), free throws made (73), scoring (477 – sixth in the CCC), and assists (117 – third in the CCC). She was voted the CCC Player of the Year and All-Conference for the second straight year while also being named the CCC Player of the Week three times this season. Last year, Stevens was named to the third team.
 
Slater, a junior forward from Boise, Idaho, averaged just short of a double-double with 9.6 points and 9.9 rebounds (second in the CCC) per game. She also recorded a 49.4 field goal percentage (fifth in the CCC). Slater was named All-Conference and earned CCC Player of the Week twice for her stellar play on the court this season.
 
Liefke, a senior guard from Sunnyside, Wash., led the Mountaineers In scoring (404) and was second in 3-point percentages (37.6 – fourth in the CCC). She was also named All-Conference for her performance on the court this season. Last year, Liefke also received an All-American honorable mention.
 
Sprague, a sophomore guard from Clatskanie, Ore., recorded the most points on the season in the CCC with a total of 497. She also led the conference in assists, averaging 3.9 per game, and free-throw percentage (84.2). She was named All-Conference and earned CCC Player of the Week twice this season. Last week, Sprague was also named First-Team Academic All-America to top off an incredible year.
 
Walk, a junior forward from Eugene, Ore., led the Raiders in scoring, averaging 14.6 points (fourth in the CCC) and rebounds, averaging 7.9 (fifth in the CCC) per game. She was named All-Conference and earned CCC Player of the Week twice this season. Last year, Walk also received an All-American honorable mention.

All of the selections are made by the All-America Committee and are comprised of first, second and third teams as well as honorable mention. There are 12 members on each of the first three All-America teams.
