Rize Laboratory Players of the Week Announced

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The following four CCC student-athletes have been recognized as the Rize Laboratory Players of the Week for their performances during competition from Feb. 27 – March 5, 2023.
 
Baseball – Player
Lewis-Clark State College’s Dominic Signorelli was named the Rize Laboratory Baseball Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.
 
Signorelli, a sophomore infielder from Moses Lake, Wash., led LC State College in five victories with a .444 batting average and 10 RBIs. He had a 1.000 slugging percentage with four doubles and two home runs. Signorelli drew three walks, touched 18 bases, and scored nine runs on the week. Defensively, the third baseman made 13 perfect plays in the field.
 
Baseball – Pitcher
Lewis-Clark State College’s Dallas McGill was named the Rize Laboratory Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
 
McGill, a sophomore pitcher from Gardiner, Ore., secured two more wins this week. On Monday, he pitched 4.2 innings against College of Idaho and recorded seven strikeouts which led to a 9-4 victory. On Sunday, against Eastern Oregon University, he pitched three innings and only allowed two hits. McGill tallied four strikeouts and did not walk a batter or allow an earned run in the 10-2 victory for the Warriors.
 
Softball – Player
Southern Oregon University’s Riley Donovan was named the Rize Laboratory Softball Player of the Week.
 
Donovan, a senior catcher from Half Moon Bay, Calif., had a great series against Eastern Oregon, leading the Raiders to three more wins. She tallied eight hits and RBIs with 14 total bases on the weekend. Donovan knocked out two home runs with a .571 batting average and a 1.000 slugging percentage in the series. Behind the plate, she was errorless with 11 putouts.
 
Softball – Pitcher
Eastern Oregon Univeristy’s Kaylie Hoskins was named the Rize Laboratory Softball Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season.
 
Hoskins, a sophomore pitcher from Lake Stevens, Wash., had three great outings in the circle this week, going 2-1 with a 0.72 ERA. She recorded an impressive 26 strikeouts in 19 innings, starting with a shutout of University of Providence on Monday. Hoskins only two earned runs of the week were in a loss to Southern Oregon in an intense extra-inning battle. The next day, she shut them down, leading the Mountaineers to their only series win against the Raiders.
