CCC Softball Scoreboard 4.16.23

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The T-Birds and Owls brought their brooms for some CCC softball Sunday sweeps.
 
Conference Standings
 
University of British Columbia swept Corban University
Game 1: UBC won 3-1. Shae Server had a fantastic game while knocking in two of the T-Bird's three runs at the plate and only allowing one run and three hits in seven innings for the win on the mound. Paia'ala Wilcox-Molina went yard for the Warriors sole run.
Game 2: UBC won 9-1 in six innings. Center fielder Hanna Hansen led the T-birds with two hits and three RBIs. Server came back for three more Ks but Lindsay Bell got the win in the circle, recording one hit and five strikeouts. Wilcox-Molina stayed hot for the Warriors to secure their sole RBI.
Game 3: UBC won 9-1 in five innings during a seven-hit game. Hansen kept souring for the T-Birds with a three-run homer in the third inning. Shelby Kempel only allowed one hit and struck out nine batters in the shutout. Cambria Kerze got the Warrior's sole hit.
Game 4 (nonconference) was previously canceled due to inclement weather.

No. 1 Oregon Tech swept University of Providence
Game 1: OIT won 20-3 in five innings with 21 hits. Right fielder Maggie Buckholz was dominate for the Owls with three hits, two for extra bases for a total of two runs, and six RBIs. Kacie Schmidt only allowed one earned run and two hits while strikeout five batters in four innings for the win on the mound. Ryen Palmer got a triple for one of the Argos two hits and RBIs.  
Game 2: OIT won 9-4. Mckenzie Staub led the Owls all around with three hits, a run and an RBI at the plate. Staub also threw the whole game and struck out five batters for the win in the circle. Taylor Matthews went 3-for-4 to lead the Argos.
