EOU Takes 2022-23 CCC All-Sport Champion Title

CORVALLIS, Ore. – By the slightest margin of victory on record, Eastern Oregon University claimed the 2022-23 Cascade Collegiate Conference All-Sport title, the conference announced. 

Eastern Oregon earned first-place points with regular-season championships in volleyball and men's track/field while splitting points as co-champions in women's basketball. EOU racked up key points with a second-place finish in women's track/field and had a slew of points ranging from third through fifth place. After the dust settled the Mountaineers had tallied 200.57 points giving them only their second title overall and first since the 2007-08 season.

Southern Oregon University, with 200.44  points, was the runners-up on the strength of first-place points in men’s cross country and women’s wrestling. The Raiders also earned second-place points in women's cross country.
 
The College of Idaho, Oregon Tech, and Lewis-Clark State College round out the top five with 195.37, 171.99, and 171.33 points, respectively. C of I earned first-place points in women's cross country and men's basketball while OIT stood atop the softball and baseball podium. LC split first-place points in women's basketball.
 
Charging up the standings was an associate member, the University of British Columbia. The Thunderbirds landed in 6th place after an impressive spring with first-place points in men's and women's golf, and women's track/field and shared champion points in baseball.
