Raiders Remain on Top of CCC in Final LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup Standings

CLEVELAND – Southern Oregon University leads 10 Cascade Collegiate Conference institutions on the final LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup Standings, released Tuesday.
 
The Raiders rank 13th overall with 619.00 total points, followed by the College of Idaho which sits in the No. 18 spot with 562.65 points. Eastern Oregon University was close behind in 19th with 537.50 points. Lewis-Clark State College (432.00) and University of British Columbia (427.50) fill in spots 37 and 38, respectively, to put five CCC teams in the top 50.
 
Oregon Tech picked up 213.00 points to finish in 82nd while Corban University landed in 92nd with 188.50 points. Multnomah University (121st, 127.00), Warner Pacific University (159th, 57.00), and Northwest University (175th, 43.50) rounded out the CCC schools.
 
Overall, 13 sports are counted in the final NAIA standings, four of which must be men’s basketball, men’s soccer, women’s basketball and women’s volleyball. The next highest (9 max.) sports scored for each institution, regardless of gender, are used in the standings.
 
The Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NAIA Championships.
