AUSTIN, Texas – Four standouts in competition and in the classroom highlighted the 2022-23 Academic All-America® women’s track & field/cross country teams selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) and announced today.
The Cascade Collegiate Conference saw five student-athletes earn the honor, all holding above 3.90 GPAs. Rebecca Kuskie of Bushnell University, Maggie Ledbetter of Eastern Oregon University, along with Sage Martin and Abbey Shirts of College of Idaho earned first team distinctions. Also from College of Idaho, Ellyse Tingelstad received second team honors.
Twelve of the 33 members of the Academic All-America® NAIA women’s track and field/cross country teams boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work. The 10 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.96, with the entire women’s team holding a collective average GPA of 3.90.
The NAIA Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NAIA national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 NAIA Academic All-America® program.
