CORVALLIS, Ore. – After winning the NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship for the second consecutive year, University of British Columbia was picked as the unanimous choice to win the 2023-24 Cascade Collegiate Conference championship, announced Wednesday by the conference office.
The Thunderbirds grabbed all eight first-place votes to sit atop the poll with 64 points after winning their third CCC Women’s Golf Championship, presented by U.S. Bank. UBC finished the year with ten victories, including its seventh national title.
Lewis-Clark State College picked up the No. 2 spot with 49 points, followed close behind by Oregon Tech with 47 points in the third spot. Southern Oregon University sits fourth with 36 points and Corban University earned 27 points for fifth, while College of Idaho was on the heels with 26 points for a sixth place standing. Bushnell University (21 points) and Walla Walla University (18 points) round out the poll in the seventh and eighth spots, respectively.
The CCC Golf Championships are slated for April 29 – May 1, hosted by UBC in Blaine, Washington.
