NAIA Volleyball Players of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference continues to dominate its presence in the NAIA Volleyball world with two student-athletes being named the first NAIA Volleyball Players of the Week for the 2023 season.
 
After a successful weekend at the Midland Showdown reigning NAIA Attacker of the Year, Rylee Troutman of No. 2 Corban University, was named the NAIA Attacker of the Week. The junior outside hitter competed against No. 7 Viterbo University, No. 9 Midland University, and No. 8 Missouri Baptist University while putting up 67 kills (.306 kill percentage), 28 digs, three blocks, and completed a pair of service aces. The Warriors currently hold a 6-2 overall record as they prepare for conference play this weekend.

Mylie Mills was named the NAIA Defender of the Week while making her presence known as she began her freshman career at No. 3 Eastern Oregon University. The middle hitter dominated at the Magic Island Hawaii Classic while averaging 2.38 blocks per set and contributing three digs. She also tallied 19 total blocks and showcased her versatility with 12 kills and an impressive .290 kill percentage, impacting the game on both offense and defense. The Mountaineers are currently undefeated (7-0 overall) as they prepare for conference play this weekend.
