CORVALLIS, Ore. – A mix of seasoned veterans and youthful hopefuls represented the Corban Women's Golf team's success in a head-to-head dual with Bushnell University over the last two days, where the Warriors took home the top two overall placements and three of the top five spots.

"We have some incredible newcomers to our women's golf team that are working hard every day to improve themselves in order to keep pace with the outstanding performance from Kristin, who won the Tournament's Medalist Award by shooting back to back 74s," Warriors' head coach Charlie Marshall said earlier this evening.

The Warriors and Beacons decided to utilize this friendly dual as an opportunity to see what their student-athletes can do in a tournament-like setting, with the top five finishers more than likely qualifying as the team's starting lineups of sorts. Therefore, the two schools decided not to keep team scores and instead see how each individual performs on their own.

The captain and clear leaders of the Warriors, senior Kristin Senatra, handled business as the favorite to walk out of Trysting Tree Golf Club with the individual title, as back-to-back rounds of 74 found her twenty strokes ahead of the next finisher. Her teammate and freshman Olivia Wyatt, was that next overall placer in the dual, finishing two strokes better than Bushnell's top golfers.

After the Beacons' Jada Richwine and Analise Aubin was the res of the Warrior field, led by junior Coreen Chandler who shot a 202 overall over the two-day tourney. Freshmen Amerika Jones and Sophia Barbosa concluded the full women's field at 230 and 25 overall, respectively.

The Warriors will turn their attention to the first Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament of the school year, the Oregon Tech Fall Invite, which will take place on September 11th and 12th at the Running Y Ranch Resort in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
