2024-25 CCC Women’s Basketball Preseason Poll

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Southern Oregon University was chosen to reclaim the Cascade Collegiate Conference title as the 2024-25 CCC Women’s Basketball Preseason Poll released on Wednesday by the conference office.
 
Southern Oregon received six first-place votes with 137 total points in the poll. SOU won both the regular season and the CCC Women’s Basketball Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank. The Raiders were eliminated in the 2nd round of the NAIA Championship, completing its season with a 28-5 overall and 20-2 CCC record.
 
Oregon Tech picked up the other six first-place votes along with 124 points to sit second in the standings. After an incredible season, OIT earned an at-large bid to the NAIA Tournament before falling in the 2nd round. The Owls finished last year with a 27-5 overall and 19-3 CCC record.
 
Lewis-Clark State College followed close behind in third with 121 points. LC State gained the CCC’s other AQ to the National Tournament after losing to the Raiders in the conference championship. The Warriors fell in the 2nd round, ending the season with a 26-6 overall and 19-3 CCC record.
 
Eastern Oregon University secured 106 points for a four spot rank. The Mounties were the final conference team to attend the NAIA Championship with an at-large bid before dropping the first game. EOU recorded a 21-8 overall and 17-7 CCC record last season.
 
College of Idaho tallied 91 points to round out the top five spots. Bushnell University came in behind with 86 points while The Evergreen State College secured the seven spot with 61 points.

Corban University (59 points), Walla Walla University (43 points), and Northwest University (34 points) completed the eight through ten teams, respectively. Multnomah (29 points) and Warner Pacific University (27 points) were separated by two points to close out the poll.
 
The CCC regular season begins on November 26th, and the CCC Women’s Basketball Tournament tips off on February 26th at campus sites with the winner earning one of the CCC’s AQ to the NAIA Championship Tournament.
