CORVALLIS, Ore. – The No. 10-ranked Eastern Oregon University Men’s Cross Country was named the Under Armour Team of the Week for October 14 - 20, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
This weekend, Eastern Oregon dominated the variety of competition at the Linfield George Oja Invite. The Mounties finished in 3rd out of 23 teams with 112 points, right behind alumni of CCC Elite.
On Saturday, Justin Ash led EOU with a 10th-place finish, recording a time of 24:38.8 in the 8k. He was followed by George Showers, who finished 29th with a time of 25:20.3 and Cristian Mendoza was close behind in 36th place, clocking in at 25:28.1. Grady Greenwood finished 39th at 25:31.7 while Trevor Nichols rounded out the top five for EOU with a 41st-place finish in 25:36.7.
Next up, Eastern Oregon will compete at the Sasquatch Open in Spokane, Washington, on October 25th.
