CORVALLIS, Ore. – No. 4-ranked College of Idaho’s men’s cross country was named the Under Armour Team of the Week for September 30 – October 6, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
C of I was victorious at the 49th annual Charles Bowles Willamette Invitational on Saturday, outperforming a competitive field of 281 runners and 25 teams across all levels.
The men's team claimed the title with a score of 43 points, finishing 15 points ahead of second-place UC Irvine. Daniel Butler led the Yotes with a personal-best time of 23:47.4, securing first place overall. He was closely followed by teammates Elias Everist and Hayden Bostrom, who finished in second and third with times of 23:48.1 and 23:51.8, respectively. The team’s strength was evident, as Brevin Vaughan (24:40.7) and Cyress Wilson (24:49.0) rounded out the scoring five, finishing 18th and 21st, respectively.
Next up, College of Idaho is set to take off on Saturday, October 19th, at the George Oja Invitational.
