2024 CCC Men’s Soccer Postseason Awards Announced

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The 2024 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men's Soccer postseason awards were announced Saturday by the conference office.
 
The CCC Regular Season Champions of Carroll College swept the player awards with Felix Billard being named the Offensive Player of the Year. Justus Herrmann of Carroll and Tristan Skerritt of Southern Oregon were named the Co-Defensive Players of the Year. Fighting Saints, Juan Muniz Navarrette received the Goalkeeper of the year while Alfie Snow was selected as the Newcomer of the Year. Carroll College's head coach Austin Shick was named the Coach of the Year. Walla Walla University grabbed the Team Sportsmanship Award.
   
Billard, a sophomore forward from Mallorco, Spain, was a huge asset to the Fighting Saint's explosive offense. He finished the regular season leading the CCC in points (24) and goals (11). He earned two CCC Offensive Player of the Week awards and one NAIA honor.

Herrmann, a freshman defender from Weil am Rhein, Germany, and Skerritt, a junior defender from Newark, England, were both dominant forces all season helping their teams finish at the top of the conference and receive national recognition.
 
Muniz Navarrette, a junior goalkeeper from Hermiston, Ore., helped lead the Fighting Saints to a first-place finish in the conference. He topped the CCC in several areas including, save percentage (.909), goals against (0.31 avg/g), and shutouts with 11 total in conference play. He was also named the CCC Rize Laboratory Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week twice this season.
 
Snow, a freshman forward from Middlesborough, England, had an incredible first season with the Fighting Saints. He ranked in the top 10 in the conference in several categories including shots (2. 46 avg/g), points (1. 54 avg/g), goals (0.62 avg/g), and assists (0.31 avg/g). He was also named a CCC Rize Laboratory Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Shick led the Fighting Saints to new heights in his second season, helping earn the program's first conference title. Carroll enters postseason with a 12-2-3, 11-1-1 CCC record and is ranked second in the CCC in points (7.69 avg/g) and goals (2.62 avg/g) while recording the lowest goals against average (0.31 avg/g). Carroll received votes on the national poll throughout the year and this is Shick's second consecutive year earning this honor. The regular-season champs saw five players on the first team, one on the second team, and one received honorable mention.
