CORVALLIS, Ore. – The College of Idaho Women’s Cross Country team was named the Under Armour Team of the Week for November 4-10, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
For the sixth consecutive year, No. 6-rankled College of Idaho earned the CCC Women's Cross Country Championship title.
The Yotes cruised through the competition, collecting a team score of 25. Kahea Figueira claimed her first ever individual championship conference crown at Rose City Golf Course, finishing the 6K course in 21 minutes 53.85 seconds. Teammates Kylee Quinton (22:23.20) and Julia Gilbert (22:29.99) finished right behind in the third and fourth spot.
C of I continued to stack the leaderboard, adding four more All-CCC runners with Kimbrie Knudsen (23:00.88) in eighth-place, Molly Connor (23:01.26) in ninth, Larissa Mauer (23:19.39) in 12th and Sarah Bolin (23:19.92) in 13th. In his third season, head coach Dominic Bolin was voted the CCC Women’s Coach of the Year for the third year.
The Yotes earned an automatic berth in the NAIA Championships, which will take place in Columbia, Missouri, on November 22.
