CCC Players of the Week Announced

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The following six CCC student-athletes have been recognized as the Cascade Collegiate Conference Players of the Week for their performances during competition from November 18 – 24, 2024.

Men’s Basketball – Defensive
No. 2-ranked College of Idaho’s Drew Wyman was named the CCC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week.

Wyman, a senior guard from Great Falls, Mont., helped lead the Yotes to two big wins this week. He recorded 21 rebounds, two blocks, and two steals on top of 29 points on a 58.8 field goal percentage in 52 total minutes played.

Men’s Basketball – Offensive
Eastern Oregon University’s TJ Doman was named the CCC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Doman, a senior guard from Woodburn, Ore., had two strong games to help lead the Mounties to victories this week. He shot 66.7 percent from the field, tallying 41 points while adding nine rebounds and two steals in 55 total minutes played.

Women’s Basketball – Defensive
No. 4-ranked Southern Oregon University’s Meghan McIntyre was named the CCC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.

McIntyre, a senior guard from Long Beach, Calif., had a stellar weekend in the Raiders two wins. She recorded 11 rebounds, 10 steals, and five assists on top of 27 points in 54 total minutes played.

Women’s Basketball – Offensive
Warner Pacific University’s Amalya Sales was named the CCC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.

Sales, a senior guard from Puhi, Hawaii, led the Knights to a 77-73 victory over Lewis & Clark College. She recorded a 66.7 field goal percentage with 32 total points. She also added two steals and a rebound in 40 total minutes played.

Men's Wrestling – Wrestler
No. 9-ranked Southern Oregon University’s Evan Potter was named the CCC Men’s Wrestler of the Week.

Potter (141lbs), a senior from Junction City, Ore., is ranked No. 2 in the NAIA and went undefeated at the Life Open to take the individual title in his weight class. He went 5-0 and accumulated 29 points by pinning one opponent, took two more out by injury default, and defeated the No. 8 and 12 wrestlers in his weight class.

Women's Wrestling – Wrestler
No. 3-ranked University of Providence’s Erin Hikiji was named the CCC Women’s Wrestler of the Week.

Hikiji (103lbs), a junior from Mililani, Hawaii, is the top ranked wrestler in her weight class and remained undefeated at the Spokane Open this weekend. She claimed the first-place finish by a pin and two technical falls against other ranked opponents.
