2024 CCC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Year

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Daniel Butler of College of Idaho was named the 2024 CCC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Year, announced Wednesday by the conference office.

Butler, a Graduate Student from Buhl, Idaho, had an incredible final season for the Yotes. He helped lead his team to a conference title and the program's first National Championship.

In the regular season, he performed phenomenally winning every single meet he participated in (CCC Preview Meet, Charles Bowles Invite, and the Blazing Tiger Classic). He ended the year earning three conference Runner of the Week honors along with two NAIA awards.

During the postseason, he won the conference championship with a time of 24:12.88 and finished in 6th place at the national championship with a time of 23:54.1 for his third All-American honor. Butler completed his career as the top conference runner and helped C of I to the programs first national title.

The Lewis-Clark State College Warrior’s received the CCC Team Sportsmanship Award for the 2024 Men’s Cross Country Season.
