CORVALLIS, Ore. – Kahea Figueira of College of Idaho was named the 2024 CCC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Year, announced Wednesday by the conference office.
Figueira, a senior from Spokane, Wash., had an outstanding final season for the Yotes, leading the team to its sixth straight conference title and a 7th place finish at the NAIA Championship.
Her regular season was highlighted by winning the CSI classic and runner-up finishes at the CCC Preview Meet and the Blazing Tiger Classic. She eared three CCC Runner of the Week honors and went on to take the individual champion crown at the conference championship with a 21:53.85 finish.
At the 2024 NAIA Cross Country Championships, Figueira led the conference, recording a time of 21:14.1 for an 11th place finish while reaching her second consecutive All-American honor.
The Bushnell University Beacon’s received the CCC Team Sportsmanship Award for the 2024 Women’s Cross Country Season.
