CORVALLIS, Ore. – The No. 4-ranked College of Idaho men’s basketball team was named the Under Armour Team of the Week for November 25 – December 1, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
C of I highlighted the week with a major 76-44 defeat over NCAA Division ll Northwest Nazarene University, holding them to its lowest total points of the season and recording the biggest matchup victory margin in the last ten years.
The Yotes took command early, heading into halftime with a 35-24 lead. They continued to dominate in the second half, outscoring the Nighthawks 41-20. C of I shot 44.1% from the field and an impressive 42.9% from beyond the arc while holding NNU to 28% shooting overall, contributing defensively with 10 turnovers and nine blocked shots.
Johnny Radford led the charge for College of Idaho with 18 points on 6-for-10 shooting, including three three-pointers while Samaje Morgan contributed 15 points, two assists, and two steals.
The win improved College of Idaho's record to 5-1 on the season. This weekend, the Yotes will begin its 2024-25 conference campaign hosting Southern Oregon University and Oregon Tech.
