Oregon City, Ore. – Eastern Oregon Mountaineers men's wrestling came up short in a competitive dual matchup against the Clackamas Cougars on Saturday afternoon, falling 29-21.

At 125 pounds, Clackamas opened with a forfeit win to take an early lead, putting the Mounties behind 6-0.
The 133-pound bout featured an evenly matched contest, with Clackamas' Cade McCallister edging EOU's Kai Carson in a 4-2 decision. Carson showed resilience but ultimately could not overcome McCallister's advantage in takedowns.
In the 141-pound class, Gavin Bauder of Clackamas topped Cole Cross, earning a technical fall with a 21-4 victory at 5:24.
EOU's first win came in the 149-pound class, where Jaxon Morlan battled to a hard-fought 6-3 decision over Josh Hannan. Morlan's key third-period takedown secured the victory and three points for the Mounties.
At 157 pounds, Clackamas regained momentum with Chase Dennis defeating EOU's Ruben Hernandez by an 8-2 decision.
Clackamas' 165-pounder, Henry Dillingham, pinned Michael Fox at 4:17, while 174-pounder Nakoa Fouret earned another pinfall over Kylan Guerra at 1:38.
EOU rallied late with forfeits at 184, 197, and 285 pounds, closing the team score gap.
