LEXINGTON, KY – As expected after another dominant Volleyball season, the Cascade Collegiate Conference took over the 2024 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) NAIA All-Region teams and awards.
The AVCA announced the women’s volleyball All-Region teams for NAIA women’s volleyball, as chosen by the NAIA Selection Committee. Each of the 10 regions named 14 student-athletes to the All-Region team and eight players earned honorable mention honors. Each region also selected four “of the year” award winners.
The CCC had a total of 12 student-athletes recognized. Southern Oregon University’s
Marin Mackey and
Megan Perry along with Eastern Oregon University
Ashton Bales and
Kiauna Mack all earned first team recognition. College of Idaho’s
Shelbey Nichol, Lewis-Clark State College’s
Juliauna Forgach Aguilar, Oregon Tech’s
Molly Grace, and Walla Walla’s
Sahara Browning also appeared on the first team.
Bushnell University’s
Hailey Heider, College of Idaho’s
Haley McUne, Corban University’s
Allyson Reid, and Eastern Oregon’s
Alexis McMurtrey all received honorable mentions.
Southern Oregon’s head coach
Josh Rohlfing was named the Northwest Region Coach of the Year. OIT’s
Lucy Boyd earned the Northwest Region Freshman of the Year to round out the special awards.
