Cascade Connects: National Girls and Women in Sports Day

CORVALLIS, Ore. – In a special edition of the CCC Podcast: Cascade Connects, Commissioner Rob Cashell talks with Reagan Rossi, College of Idaho’s Vice President of Athletics on the importance of women in sports.

Rossi is a native of Mukwonago, Wis., and has spent her whole life immersed in athletics. Growing up shortly after Title IX, she was able to gain a unique perspective on the ability of women and watch the power of females in sports evolve.

Her accolades and impact are tremendous with every team she has been a part of. She began at College of Idaho as the Women’s Basketball head coach and left her career as the all-time leader in wins for the program. In her shift to the administration side of athletics, Rossi has been named the CCC Athletic Director of the Year four times on top of NAIA and NACDA AD of the Year honors.

On this important day dedicated to girls and women in sports, Rossi discusses the extensive achievements it took to get to where we are. She also shares how she advocates for future women and enlightens the audience on areas that still need progress. Her continued devotion to women in athletics helps not only her institution but the Cascade Conference as a whole.
