Bryden Brown and host LC State Lead After Day One of Warrior Invitational

LEWISTON, Idaho – Bryden Brown recorded two rounds under 70 to take the individual lead and LC State shot 1-under par as a team to hold a one shot advantage after the first two rounds of the Warrior Invitational at the Lewiston Golf and Country Club on Monday.

Brown scored four birdies and one bogey in an opening round 3-under 69 in the first round. The Moscow, Idaho, native recorded a clean scorecard and shot 4-under, 68 in the second round to pass Jake Johnson for the individual lead by one stroke.

Johnson shot a tournament-best 6-under, 66 in the first round that included an eagle on No. 18. He followed it up with an even-par round and sits alone in second place.

Alex Navarro and Oscar Behle of LC State are also under par for the tournament. Navarro is in third place at 3-under, 141 for the tournament. Behle shot an eagle on No. 2 in his second round and is currently 1-under, 143 and in fourth. Aidan Schumer of British Columbia and Parker Edwards of College of Idaho are tied for fifth place at even-par.

LC State is in first place after a 1-under ,575 score through the first two rounds. British Columbia shot the team round of the day with a 285 stroke performance in Round 1 and is one stroke back in second place. Rocky Mountain (+13) is in third place with Oregon Tech (+18) and College of Idaho (+21) rounding out the top five.
