LEWISTON, Idaho – Bo Brown has a two-stroke lead and British Columbia has a seven-stroke gap over the field after the first round of the Warrior Invitational at the Lewiston Golf and Country Club on Monday.
Brown recorded a birdie on No. 13 and bogies on Nos. 2 and 6 en route to a 1-over, 73.
Five golfers from three schools are in a tie for second place at 3-over, 75: Grace Bell and Elizabeth Labbe of British Columbia, Kyla Currie and Isabella Barquet of LC State and Valentina Zuleta of Rocky Mountain. The top 12 golfers are within five strokes of the lead.
The Thunderbirds shot a team score of 12-over, 300 to take the lead after the opening round. The Warriors are in second with a team score of 307. Oregon Tech had two golfers in the top 10 and currently sit in third with a score of 314. Rocky Mountain (321), Southern Oregon (337) and Walla Walla (399) complete the team standings.
