Bryden Brown Wins Individual, British Columbia Wins Team at Warrior Invitational

LEWISTON, Idaho – Bryden Brown of LC State scored a birdie on the first playoff hole to break a tie with Jake Johnson and British Columbia finished under-par as a team to win at the Warrior Invitational at the Lewiston Golf and Country Club on Tuesday.

Brown started fast with three birdies in his first six holes to win his third straight individual title of the season. Brown and Johnson stayed tied over the final five holes of play, including No. 18 where both birdied. The two finished at 7-under, 209 for the tournament.

Alex Navarro of LC State finished in third after a 2-under, 70 final round to get within two strokes of the lead. Hunter Millsap, who played as an individual from LC State, tied for the best round on Tuesday with a 4-under, 68 to finish in fourth at 215. Oscar Behle, another LC State individual golfer, and Hudson Lafayette, who also shot a 4-under, 68 on Tuesday, tied for fifth place at 216.

The Thunderbirds had all five golfers finish inside the top 10 and shot a 6-under, 282 in the final round, the best round by any team in the tournament, to win by 12 strokes with a team score of 858. LC State finished in second at 870, Rocky Mountain shot an 881 for third, College of Idaho took fourth at 895 with Oregon tech and Southern Oregon tying for fifth at 903.
