KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kaylie Hoskins of No. 15-ranked Eastern Oregon University has been named the NAIA Softball Pitcher of the Week. She was selected based on their performances from March 25-31 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.
Hoskins, a junior from Lake Stevens, Wash., led the Mountaineers in their series sweep against University of Providence. Hoskins dominated in the circle, only allowing two hits in a total of 12 innings pitched while not allowing a run to score. She held a perfect ERA throughout the series while recording an incredible 27 strikeouts and threw a perfect game in her second appearance on the mound.
Next up, the Mounties will host No. 21-ranked College of Idaho this weekend for another CCC series.
