BLAINE, Wash. – University of British Columbia is leading after the opening round of the 2024 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Golf Championship, presented by U.S. Bank.
The Thunderbirds, who are ranked No. 6 in the most recent NAIA Men’s Golf Coaches’ Poll, shot a 281 (-7) as a team in round one.
The team scores after day one are: (1) British Columbia 281, (2) Lewis-Clark State College 290, (3) College of Idaho 301, (4) Corban University 306, (5) Oregon Tech 307, (6) Southern Oregon University 319, (7) Bushnell University 321, (8) Multnomah 327, (9) Walla Walla University 332.
Bryden Brown and Alex Navarro of LC State are tied at the top for the individual title, holding a narrow stroke lead, carding a 3-under 69 on the round. Mackenzie Bickell, Dylan Macdonald, and Hudson Lafayette of UBC all follow, shooting a 2-under 70. T-Bird Manu Gandhi and C of I’s Parker Edwards are right behind with a 1-under score of 71.
Round two will be a shotgun start on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. at the Loomis Trail Golf Club.
