UBC Wins 2024 CCC Men’s Golf Championship

RESULTS | TOURNAMENT CENTRAL

BLAINE, Wash. – University of British Columbia won the 2024 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Golf regular season and tournament Championship, presented by U.S. Bank, for the fourth time.
 
The No. 6-ranked team in the NAIA finished with dominance, carding a final team score of 836 to finish on top of the standings with a 38-stroke victory (281-283-272—836).
 
Lewis-Clark State College earned 2nd place (290-294-290—874), Oregon Tech (307-299-297—903) took 3rd, while Southern Oregon University (319-301-294—914) landed in 4th. Corban University (306-311-302—919) ended in 5th, followed by College of Idaho (301-308-312—921) in 6th, and Bushnell University (321-305-306—932) in 7th. Walla Walla University (332-307-309—948) and Multnomah University (327-322-313—962) completed the final team scores.
 
After a tight final race, Dylan Macdonald (70-69-69—208) of UBC earned individual medalist honors, followed by teammates Hudson Lafayette (70-75-65—210) and Mackenzie Bickell (70-72-69—211). Bryden Brown (69-71-73—213) and Alex Navarro (69-70-74—213) of LC State tied with the next lowest score to round out the top five tournament finishers.
 
British Columbia also won the CCC regular-season title with an undefeated 32-0 record, earning the Cascade Conference automatic qualification to the NAIA Men’s Golf Championship, which takes place on May 21-24, at Dalton Golf and Country Club in Dalton, Georgia.
 
Chris MacDonald of UBC was named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year for the second time. College of Idaho was honored with the Team Sportsmanship Award.
 
The All-Cascade Collegiate Conference Team was awarded by the top-ten finishers in order of stroke average. Golfers must have played in a minimum of six CCC rounds to be eligible.
